Here’s what’s different or new in Season 2:

• There is a time jump: the main characters are in new places after the events of Season 1 and The Boys Season 4. Marie, Jordan, and Emma return to Godolkin University after having been held at the underground facility known as The Woods.

• Godolkin University is under new leadership and direction: Dean Cipher introduces a new curriculum aimed at turning Supes (superpowered students) into soldiers. The campus dynamic is more authoritarian.

🕊 Handling of Chance Perdomo’s Death

This is a key change from S1:

• The actor Chance Perdomo (who played Andre Anderson) passed away in March 2024. The showrunners decided not to recast him.

• Within the story, Andre’s death happens off-screen during a failed prison escape where he sacrifices himself to help his friends. This is how the show addresses his absence.
