Plot Summary:
Although the title suggests a sequel, The Haunting in Connecticut 2: Ghosts of Georgia is not a direct continuation of the first film — it’s more of a spiritual successor, inspired by another real-life haunting case.
The movie follows Lisa Wyrick (Abigail Spencer), her husband Andy (Chad Michael Murray), and their young daughter Heidi (Emily Alyn Lind) as they move into a historic rural home in Georgia. Lisa has long been sensitive to the supernatural — she can see spirits, much like her late mother, Joys (Katee Sackhoff), who warns her about using her gift.
Soon after moving in, Heidi begins to see a mysterious man she calls “Mr. Gordy,” who seems kind — but darker entities also start to appear. The family learns that their home sits on land once used as part of the Underground Railroad, and the spirits haunting the area include those of escaped slaves and the malicious men who hunted them.
As the haunting grows more violent, Lisa and her family must uncover the dark history buried beneath their land and confront both their personal fears and the restless souls that won’t let them go.

Reception:
The film received mixed-to-negative reviews, with critics noting a few eerie moments and strong performances (especially by Abigail Spencer), but criticizing its uneven pacing and reliance on jump scares. Fans of haunted-house movies may still enjoy its ghostly visuals and emotional undertones.
